These powerful words from a midwife at Wagga Base These powerful words from a midwife at Wagga Base Hospital reflect exactly why The Vilomah Community exists.

We are here to walk beside bereaved families, but also to support the incredible health professionals who care for them — ensuring no one navigates the heartbreak of pregnancy and infant loss in isolation.

We are so deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Tu We are so deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Tumut for inviting us to share about The Vilomah Community and the work we do to support bereaved families.

Your warm welcome, genuine interest, and thoughtful questions mean the world to us — and to the families we walk alongside. Every conversation helps to break the silence around pregnancy and infant loss, creating more understanding and compassion in our community.

Today, on what would be Gilbert’s 15th birthday, Today, on what would be Gilbert’s 15th birthday, we’re so honoured to share something truly special — Gilbert’s Cake is now available in our online shop.

This beautiful book, written by Gilbert’s incredible mum Emily, is a heartfelt gift for other families walking this path.

One of the most treasured parts of our work is meeting mums like Emily — women whose strength, love, and courage inspire us every single day.

When we first connected, we learned of a deeply moving link: Gilbert was born on the very day of Megan’s daughter Ruby’s funeral. A powerful reminder of how our stories can cross in the most unexpected and tender ways.

Today, we celebrate Gilbert, and we remember with love every baby who will forever be part of our story.

With every baby gone too soon, a candle is lit in With every baby gone too soon, a candle is lit in their honour. Recently, we lit one for a precious little boy — and his beautiful family, in turn, gifted us this stunning candle from @greenheartboulevard

Alongside it came words from the heart: “May you never have to light these candles” — meaning they wish the day will come when no more families face the heartbreak that leads to these candles being lit.

This mum often messages us after seeing a new candle, knowing all too well what it means. She sends love to the new family and to us — and that connection, care, and understanding means so much.

We are so deeply grateful for this gesture, and we will treasure it always, holding their baby in our thoughts each time it glows. 💛🕯️

Happy 15th Birthday, Ruby 🤍 Today we remember Happy 15th Birthday, Ruby 🤍

Today we remember and celebrate beautiful Ruby — a light that continues to shine above us.
Though she is not here in the way we long for, her presence is felt deeply in the hearts of many.
At the Vilomah Community, our love shines for her in all that we do.
She gives us strength, purpose, and a reason to keep showing up for each other.

Ruby, you inspire this space with your light.
We honour you today, and always.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl ✨

Together we want to show our families they are not alone. There is a community of people who will together walk with them along their journey of grief with no judgement, only love.
